Katherine Raynor
Associate Attorney
Kat is committed to fighting for justice on behalf of those who need it the most. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor, Kat worked in archaeology and museum management. It was in the course of her work advocating for the repatriation of Native American collections that she decided to make advocacy the focus of her career.
During her time at Villanova Charles Widger School of Law, Kat concentrated in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She also participated in the Civil Justice Clinic, providing pro bono services to low-income clients, served on the Student Academic Advisory Council, acted as a peer mentor, served as Vice President of the Non-Traditional Students Group and worked part-time clerking at a Philadelphia Plaintiff’s firm. She also spent a rewarding summer serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Upon graduating Cum Laude, she was awarded the Reverend Joseph Ullman Award in Criminal Procedure.
At McEldrew Purtell, Kat handles catastrophic injury and civil rights cases. She spent several years at Philadelphia defense firms prior to joining Mceldrew Purtell and uses that experience to bring a well-rounded insight to her cases.
When she isn’t busy practicing law, Kat enjoys spending time with her husband and her twins, usually cooking or playing music.
